A good aromatherapist will start with a short consultation about how you have been sleeping, your stress levels and any physical complaints, and blend the oils for that session rather than using a standard mix. The massage itself is light to medium in pressure and unhurried.
It is a first choice for stress, poor sleep, low mood and tension headaches, and popular during recovery from illness. Sessions are usually 60 or 90 minutes. Certain oils are avoided in pregnancy and with some medical conditions, which is why the consultation matters.
