About Massage Radar

Massage Radar is an online directory that helps people across the United Kingdom find a professional massage therapist. It lists independent therapists, day spas and salons, and mobile massage agencies in 13 cities, and lets you compare treatments, rates and qualifications before contacting the one you choose directly.

Whether you want a relaxing Swedish massage after a long week, deep tissue or sports work for a stubborn shoulder, a pregnancy massage, or a therapist who will come to your hotel after a flight, the directory is organised so you can get there in two clicks: by type of listing, by treatment, or by city and neighbourhood.

How it works

Every listing shows the treatments offered, the areas covered, the rates by duration, whether appointments are at the therapist's premises or at yours, the qualifications declared, and a phone number that appears when you ask for it. You contact the therapist or venue yourself, agree a time, and pay them directly. We are not a booking platform and we take no commission.

Before a listing shows the verified badge we check who is behind it: photo identification for an independent therapist, business details for a venue, and evidence of qualifications and insurance. You can read exactly what we check on theverification page.

What you will find

  • Female massage therapists — independent female massage therapists make up the largest part of the directory.
  • Male massage therapists — male massage therapists are fewer in number but heavily represented in sports, remedial and deep tissue work, where clients often ask specifically for firmer pressure.
  • Spas and salons — spas, day spas, beauty salons and massage studios with a fixed address and, usually, more than one therapist on the rota.
  • Massage agencies — massage agencies coordinate a team of therapists rather than treating clients themselves.

Across those listings we cover 24 treatments, each with its own guide to what it involves, who it suits and what it usually costs in the UK. Start with thetreatments guideif you are not sure which to book.

Why we built it

Finding a good massage therapist usually means trawling social media, review sites and booking apps that each show a slice of what is out there and take a cut of every appointment. We wanted one place that lists the whole market in a city — the independent working from a treatment room at home as well as the hotel spa — with the information that actually decides a booking, and no middleman between you and the person who will treat you.

For therapists, that means a place to be found by people already looking for what they offer, a flat monthly fee instead of a commission, and a dashboard that shows what the listing is doing for them.

For therapists and venues

A basic listing is free. Paid plans add placement on the home page and at the top of search, badges, more photos and a link to your website, billed monthly and cancellable at any time. See theplans and how to get listed, or read thefrequently asked questions.
