Frequently asked questions

Finding a massage

How do I book a massage through Massage Radar?

You do not book through us. Find a listing you like, press "Show phone number" and call or message the therapist or venue directly to agree a time. You pay them directly too. There is no account to create and no booking fee.

Are the therapists qualified?

Every listing declares its qualifications, and listings with the verified badge have shown us evidence of identity, training and insurance. If a listing has no badge yet, ask the therapist about their training when you get in touch; a professional will be glad to tell you.

What is the difference between incall, outcall and mobile massage?

Incall means you go to the therapist's treatment room, clinic or spa. Outcall or mobile means the therapist comes to your home, hotel or office with a portable couch. Mobile appointments usually carry a supplement for travel and setup time.

How much does a massage cost in the UK?

A one-hour Swedish or relaxing massage is typically £40 to £70 outside London and £60 to £100 in the capital. Sports, deep tissue and specialist treatments run a little higher; a thirty-minute back massage a little lower. Each treatment page gives a range, and each city page shows the actual rates listed there.

Is Massage Radar a massage service?

No. We are an advertising directory. We do not employ the therapists, we do not take bookings and we take no part in the treatment. Listings are independent businesses and each is responsible for its own service.

Can I leave a review, and are the reviews genuine?

Yes. Every listing page has a review form. Reviews are read by our team before they are published, we ask for a working email so we can check a review if the listing disputes it, and we do not publish reviews that are abusive, off-topic or not about a real treatment. A listing's star rating is calculated only from published reviews.

What should I do if a listing looks wrong?

Use the report link at the bottom of every listing, or the report page in the footer. Reports can be anonymous, we review every one within 24 hours, and we remove listings that misrepresent themselves or break our content guidelines.

Listing your practice, spa or agency

Is it free to list on Massage Radar?

A Regular listing is free and includes your treatments, areas, rates and one photo. Paid plans run from £49.99/mo to £150/mo and add placement, badges, more photos, a website link and priority support. Nothing is charged until your listing has been checked and is live.

How do I create a listing?

Go to Get listed, choose a plan and fill in the short form. We will email you within one working day to confirm your details and ask for evidence of your qualifications and insurance, then write up your listing with you and put it live.

How long does it take for a listing to go live?

Usually one working day from receiving your documents. Listings are checked by a person, not published automatically, so it can take a little longer at busy times.

Where will my listing appear?

Every listing appears on its category page, on the treatment pages for each treatment it offers, on its city and neighbourhood pages and in search. Prime, Exclusive and Elite listings also appear on the home page and above other listings everywhere else. Elite listings take the top positions.

How do I pay, and can I cancel?

Paid plans are monthly subscriptions through PayPal, and you can cancel from your PayPal account at any time. If you prefer to pay by bank transfer, contact us and we will set it up. If a plan lapses your listing stays live as a Regular listing rather than being removed.

Can I use stock photos?

Only if you hold a licence for them, and your main photo must be of you or your premises. We reject photos that are not yours, and photos that do not meet our content and photo guidelines.

Will my email address or phone number be public?

Your email is never shown. Your phone number is not printed on the page: visitors see it only after pressing a button, and each request is counted so you can see the enquiries your listing generates.

Why has my listing been suspended?

We suspend listings that breach the terms of use or the content and photo guidelines, usually after a warning unless the breach is serious. If you think it was a mistake, contact us and we will look again.

I have forgotten my password. What do I do?

Use the "forgotten password" link on the sign-in page and we will email you a reset link. If it does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder and then contact us.
